Submission - FLIPT!

The entries must be submitted using the attached submission form by 1. November 2026.

This year, we are dividing the entries into three genres:

Are you under 16 and have ideas that absolutely must be seen? Then this is the category for you.

Whether wild, funny, exciting or completely unexpected – bring your pictures to life and make your flipbook come alive. It’s your style, your story and your perspective that count.

Life is not a pony ride

Not every story needs a happy ending. It’s often the small or big challenges of everyday life that move us, surprise us or make us think.

Show us in your flipbook what the 2026 special category ‘Life isn’t a walk in the park’ means to you – whether it’s humorous, serious, absurd or simply quiet. Whether it’s a mishap, a setback or a moment of perseverance: tell your story frame by frame.

Whatever your age, subject or style: this category is all about your creative idea – whether it’s free-spirited, experimental or told in a classic style.

Conditions of participation

General

Any work that can be flipped with the thumb is welcome. Any genre, any technique, any experiment is permitted.

Conditions for submission

The flipbook must be submitted together with the submission form by 1. November 2026. One submission form must be used per work. Please complete the form in full.

Shipping

The costs for shipping will be borne by the submitter. If no return postage is enclosed (addressed and sufficiently stamped envelope), the submittedenvelope), the submitted flipbooks* will remain in the FLIPT! archive.

Miscellaneous

We would like to point out that the submitted works may be soiled or damaged in the course of the festival and the exhibition. The organiser accepts no liability for damage or theft. It is therefore the responsibility of the person submitting the work to submit copies or originals. The flipbooks will be perforated and fitted with a security wire to prevent theft during the festival and exhibition.

Presentation

At the opening in the Glaskubus, we would like to present as many of the submitted works as possible. We will also endeavour to show as many flipbook submissions as possible at other exhibition venues. However, if the spatial capacities of the exhibition spaces are exceeded, we reserve the right to make a selection.
